Deposit
Depositing funds into Rubin moves assets from a supported source chain into the user's main account, and then into a trading subaccount.
Process Flow
Connect wallet
Connect a wallet that holds funds on the source chain and open the Deposit view in the Rubin interface.
Choose source chain and amount
Select the source chain and the amount to deposit. The interface shows the destination Rubin address derived from your wallet.
Sign source-chain transaction
Sign and send the deposit transaction from your wallet. Funds are sent to the Rubin bridge contract on the source chain, which records your destination Rubin address.
Validators confirm the deposit
Rubin validators observe the source chain and wait for finality before crediting your account.
- Smaller deposits are credited after a shorter confirmation window.
- Larger deposits wait for deeper finality as a security buffer.
Funds arrive on Rubin
Funds appear on your main account. The interface automatically transfers them to your trading subaccount, after which they are available for trading.
Best practices
- Send a small test transaction the first time you deposit from a new wallet or source chain.
- Save the source-chain transaction hash until the deposit is credited.
- Keep the wallet connected to the Rubin interface so the auto-transfer to your trading subaccount can complete.
